Paul Revere and the Raiders

When I was a kid Paul Revere and the Raiders were huge and I was a big fan of theirs. They were on a daily music/comedy show called “Where The Action Is,” and my brother Jim and I used to run home every day after school to watch it. Lead singer Mark Lindsay was the first guy to have a ponytail in rock and roll and people thought it was pretty outrageous at the time. Here they are, I believe from 1966 performing the song, “The Great Airplane Strike.” Notice when the guy introduces them he says, “THE Paul Revere and the Raiders!” What a jerkoff!

I loved these guys too! Their stuff with the original band was great! Later on they got kind of bubblegummy but i saw Mark Lindsay at the Waukesha County Fair a few years back and he had a band that played the old shit very well and he sounded just like the old raider he was! I do think that that period of rock and roll was the most fun! I miss it! Thanks for the memories!

their shirts look like whipped cream!

Man, I love these guys! Quite possibly the most seriously under-rated group of all time!!
