Grompf is the spotlit Commentator of the day. We all love his comments and now we can love his photography. I love black and white photography and this is a great shot. Here’s what Grompf has to say about it:
It comes from a small series of pictures titled "feelings in the night" and in French it can also sound like "bored feelings.”

Nice , What Camera & Film , & where is this , it reminds me of an ally way in city hall , but I know that is France or some where .
Inspired me to take out my Bronica with wide angle lens , & shoot with Delta 3200 , pushed to 25.000 ASA ( Yes 25.000 , & secret developer that looks like syrup )
i vant to go to france.
I believe I'm the only one on this planet who saw ALL grompf work, and I sincerely would like to don't be the only one!! I'm anxious that all of you can see more of his talented work!!!
I dare to tell it, I got tears in my eyes seeing some of his shot...and I hope to see them here ;)

Gene1 & JHWang : this is Toulouse street (not the one in New-Orleans). if you're looking on a map : it can be located southward too...
JHWang : i hope it wont surprise you but i used a Canon40D... and no film which are still in my fridge. Here the "grain" (i don't know the correct word) comes from "natural" digital artefacts not from "silver salts". I know that digital is evil even if i treat my pictures exactly as if i was treating film&paper. Nothing is "photoshoped" here. Only less moisture and more wires.
I'm very curious to see the result of your 25000ASA pushed pictures !

Talking about Toulouse... I just realize that living in this city makes me often forget How much this city is beautiful... We walk or run through streets, without to look around...
I look again on this pic and I ponder : Fuck! streets are beautiful !
