The Duane Reade Item of the Week

Last week within my “Counter-Dweller” story I wrote about how I shop almost every day at the Duane Reade. Since then I’ve kind of started obsessing over the place and I’ve decided to have a weekly, “Duane Reade Item of the Week,” just to show the many diverse and wonderful items available there.

This week’s item is White Castle hamburgers and cheeseburgers. I love White Castle cheeseburgers and the cool thing is that these microwave versions are just as good as the kind you get in the restaurant. A lot of cities don’t have a White Castle, but if they’ve got a Duane Reade, then they can satisfay their White Castle urge, which every human has, whether you know it or not.

Manhattan has a White Castle and it’s not far from where I live, so why not just go there and get fresh ones, you may be wondering. Well, because Duane Reade has something else that White Castle doesn’t: BEER!

By the by, forgot to mention that Columbus is the HQ of all things White Castley!! It's true! I've been eating them since I was knee-high to grasshopper! Which explains my lack of stomach lining. But, I guess you win some, you lose some. Not to be tripe.
